Gedeth recently had the pleasure of collaborating with the Canadian Embassy in Madrid and the Toronto Region Board of Trade on a virtual mission of 20 Canadian companies interested in the European smart city sector. The mission was organized around Smart City Live, this year’s online edition of the annual Smart City Expo World Congress, traditionally held in Barcelona.
Gedeth was tasked with organizing B2B meetings for the participating Canadian companies with both private and public sector buyers in Spain’s smart city market.
Although organizing meetings for such a large delegation was a daunting task, we are proud to report that we exceeded our target and had to open an additional week of slots to accommodate the nearly 140 meetings scheduled with potential Spanish buyers.
It was a pleasure working with each of the Canadian companies and learning about the innovative solutions they offer to assist cities in their «smart» transformation – solutions involving tools such as AI, digital twins, and other technology to manage infrastructure, crises, natural resources, tourism, and transportation.
If you are interested in learning more about the solutions these 20 companies offer, you can consult our delegation catalogue:
